Membership to the National Association of Check Writers, ("NACW") is automatically obtained through an approved application for a ChekXcept Card. The mission statement of the NACW is:

The National Association of Check Writers is an organization of people who write checks and want to continue to write checks and our goal is to promote check writing while protecting the merchant and lowering merchant costs to provide a check payment solution.

Goals, as established by the NACW are as follows:
  • Promote the establishment of individual state organizations.
  • Expand membership nationally.
  • Expand member benefits.
  • Educate card holders and participating merchants on the usage of checks and changes that may affect them.
  • Provide lobbying support for check writers in Congress.
